New Delhi: Sentiments prevailed as the management, and staff of Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar, remembered and paid rich tributes to their beloved mentors late Dr Shivinder Singh Sandhu former Managing Trustee Spring Dale Educational Society and Mrs. Manveen Sandhu, former Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, who passed into eternity on this day, 16 years ago.
An Akhand Path was organized for the departed souls. The ‘Bhog’ of the Akhand Path was organized at the local Central Khalsa Orphanage.
The presence of representatives of management and staff from Spring Blossoms School and Spring Dale Senior School was witnessed in this event.
It was 16 years ago that the Spring Dale family lost their revered mentors in a road accident.
Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Chairman, Spring Dale Educational Society and Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director Spring Dale Educational Society, in a joint statement, said that adversity had caused immense loss, in the form of the death of Dr and Mrs Sandhu, to the Spring Dale family and all associated with it.
Sharing the memories of their parents with the staff members, they expressed their commitment to march on and meet the goals envisioned for the larger society by their revered parents.
Recalling his long association with Dr and Mrs Sandhu, the School Principal Rajiv Kumar Sharma said that they had a vision of elevating their school to be an effective instrument for social upliftment and youth empowerment.
“The school team is committed to accomplish the task assigned by the two elevated souls,” maintained Sharma.
