Amritsar: Spring Blossoms School organised an informative and hands-on Fire Safety Workshop for its school team both the teachers and helper staff, with the objective of creating greater awareness and preparedness in the event of a fire emergency.
The workshop focused on the safe and correct use of fire extinguishers, helping the participants understand their working and the situations in which they should be used. A practical demonstration enabled the staff to learn how to operate a fire extinguisher confidently and responsibly.
The session also highlighted the essential dos and don’ts during a fire emergency—how to raise an alarm, alert others, evacuate calmly, follow designated escape routes, and move to a safe assembling point. Participants were guided on the importance of remaining calm, not re-entering the building, and assisting young children and others who may need support.
Special emphasis was placed on the role of every member of the school community in ensuring a safe environment. The workshop reinforced the message that preparedness, awareness and a calm response can make a significant difference during an emergency.
