Amritsar : Spring Blossoms School observed International Day of Peace with a meaningful and heartwarming celebration, inspiring young learners to understand that peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of kindness, empathy, respect and harmony.
The day began with a peaceful meditation session allowing children to experience the beauty of calm and tranquility. Through age-appropriate activities and engaging interactions, the children were encouraged to reflect on simple yet powerful ways in which they can create a peaceful world—by sharing, caring for one another, listening patiently, helping others and choosing gentle words.
The children also participated in colouring activities centred around the theme of peace, giving them an opportunity to express their understanding of harmony and togetherness through colours and creativity.
The day concluded with a collective re-affirmation that every child can be a little ambassador of peace, in the classroom, at home and in the world around.
On the occassion, principal of school Anupama Mehra said, “The celebration highlighted an important message: “Peace begins within us.” When children learn to manage their emotions, respect differences and resolve disagreements with understanding, they take their first steps towards becoming empathetic and responsible individuals. At Spring Blossoms School, we believe that nurturing peaceful minds and compassionate hearts today is our way of building a kinder, more harmonious tomorrow.”
